Dr. Amanda King is a double board-certified psychiatrist in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, with fellowship training at New York University (NYU). She has worked across outpatient, residential, and telehealth settings, and is especially skilled in trauma-informed care, systems collaboration, and psychopharmacology. Her approach blends supportive psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to create individualized treatment plans that fit each patient’s needs.

She is also a passionate educator and volunteer clinical faculty member at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, where she mentors medical students, residents, and fellows. In 2024, she was honored with the Excellence in Fellow Mentoring Award by UNLV’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health.

Dr. Amanda King has extensive experience treating mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, and autism spectrum disorder. Outside of her work, she enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures, taking long walks with her dog Riley (a lively chihuahua-terrier mix), and staying active through barre fitness classes.
